What personal data we collect and why we collect it
All data recorded as part of this research project will be stored in a protected database, only accessible to the researcher.
Media
If you upload images to the website or to Instagram using the #NFTall Tales, these images will be stored as part of the research. Location data attached to these images through the online map of the Instagram location assignment will also be stored. Upon completion of the research the data will be destroyed. Images containing identifiable individuals will not be included in the final data set and will be deleted if submitted via the online form.
Age
The online form citizen science form asked participants to select the age category that they fall within. These data will be stored and used within the final analysis of the research.
Text
Associated hashtags shared with posts on Instagram using the project hashtag #NFTallTales will also be recorded. No other text will be recorded so as to prevent individuals from being identified after the study has been completed.
Who we share your data with
No third party will receive a copy of data you submit as part of this research project. The data will be included within a final PhD thesis however, and possibly within later research publications. This will be in the form of larger statistical trends rather than singling out specific submissions and no participants will be identifiable.
What rights you have over your data
Participants have the right to withdraw from the citizen science project at any point during data collection. To do this on Instagram, just remove the associated hashtag (#NFTallTales) from your post before the end of January 2020 and your data will not be included in the study. Anything shared after this data will also not be included. To withdraw from the online citizen science form please contact the researcher (l.shaw2.15@unimail.winchester.ac.uk) with the following information:
